SOFTWARE APPLICATION: Multi Ingest platform
SI Media ingest module MediaRec has been significantly enhanced, in order to offer a wide set of tools to build a multi-ingest platform.
This platform allows to control, from a single client workstation, several ingest servers and multiple concurrent tasks.
From a unique interface, a single operator handles all the running tasks, the scheduled ingest sessions and the material that has been already encoded.
A detailed timeline guarantees a complete overview of all the encoders and the sources present in the system, with customized colors to advice the operator about the status of each task (scheduled, ready to run, running, successfully executed or failed).
At any moment user can open a new ingest session. The software automatically displays the encoders available at a certain moment, and the sources selectable for that encoder (studios, live feeds, satellites, video tape recorders and many others).
Receiving the streaming flow of the incoming sdi signal from the encoder, the operator can see the preview from its workstation, defining bookmarks and editing the metadata of the asset.
This new application module significantly simplifies the base-band ingest, guaranteeing the possibility to control all the sessions of the different servers of the platform, from a single client interface.
