TVN Canal Catorce is the most recent adopter of .YES!, SI Media’s enhanced and user friendly end to end platform.
Working with system integrator Ecuatronix Usa from Miami, SI Media technicians installed .YES! platform on Linux software. TVN Canal Catorce chose SI Media .YES!MAM, .YES!Playout, .YES!Traffic and an IBM Tape Libary LTO controlled by SI Media HSM module.
TVN Canal 14 is owned by Coopelesca R.L., a cooperative society doing business for over half a century, with industry sectors including electricity production, internet and data transmission, warehouses for electrical materials and appliances, insurance, tourism and open television. In 2016 TVN Canal 14 won the National Award for Excellence, from the Chamber of Industries of Costa Rica.
TVN Canal 14 is composed of three channels (TVN1, TVN2, TVN3) and have been broadcasting since 1985 on channel 14 with UHF channel 16 repeater while preparing for migration to DTV. TVN Canal 14 will be the first rural channel in Costa Rica with carriage on 12 cable companies in more than 40 cities throughout most of the country.
The programming is focused on showing viewers events and benefits of the Coopelesca R.L. cooperative. Content and programs are based on information, training and entertainment, and are broadcast 24/7.
SI Media technicians, Diego Reyes and Andres Fuentes, went to Costa Rica to commission the installation and to provide training to TVN Canal 14’s operators.
And now, TVN Canal 14 is on air with .YES!.
