Application modules : IMEDIANEWS
IMEDIANEWS is the brand new solution developed by SI Media composed by two applications: IMediaNews e IMediaLive, thought to improve the functions of our digital newsroom in order to create an environment more and more interconnected through the new technologies.
IMediaNews is an application that runs on Android and IOs environment, allowing journalists to record a video with any mobile device (smartphone, tablet, I-pad…) and create a press report starting from it. The journalist will have the possibility, during the share operation, to add metadata (such as for example the title of the press report, the name of the journalist, the location, the date and so on) and also the text to link to the video.
IMediaNews allows also the journalist to access to MediaNews classic interface, in order to create new stories or edit those who are already present in his story archive. The new asset will be automatically transferred using the available connectivity (3G, 4G, LTE or WI-fi) to the central database engine and become immediately available in the story archive in order to be edit by journalists on-site. The list of video contents related to each press report will be linked to a specific basket. By clicking the publishing icon in ISharedNews, automatically a notification will be sent by e-mail, sms directly to the journalists in the newsroom.
IMediaLive is the application to activate a live streaming from any mobile device. The out-coming signal will be sent to the main-site, where operators will have the possibility to check in a monitor all the active streaming coming from the different journalists off-site. The operator has only to select the streaming signal he wants to put on-air, and the signal will be sent through an Aja-board to the CG workstation, where the video will be layered with the other graphics projects (crawls, texts, images..) as a DVE, in order to optimize the resolution and the dimension of the video for the delivery.
