National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan (Tashkent)

The National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan (TVRMTRK – https://www.mtrk.uz/ ) has selected SI Media as unique software supplier for its automation and newsroom platform.

The project has been awarded to the German systems integrator BFE (https://www.bfe.tv/), and, starting from summer 2017, we have been proceeding with the installation, configuration, tests and acceptance of the system at BFE headquarters in Mainz. After that, all the equipment has been shipped to Tashkent to move forward with the onsite installation, tuning and the training.

The comprehensive workflow SI Media has proposed to MTRK includes 13 fully mirrored automation channels, which control via API Harmonic video servers. SI Media is providing also its base band ingest platform and the scheduling system to arrange daily and advertising playlist, to manage secondary events and control 3rd party devices involved (AV router, logo and character generator, Master ControlSwitchers).

The system includes complete MAM platform, with workflow manager, quality check, transcoder, file ingest, integration with Adobe Premiere Pro and control of a 8-drives and 960 slots HP tape library as deep archive.

About NRCS, SI Media provide application (windows and web-based) for journalists to manage the news workflow, from the ingest of wires, agencies, contributions to the transmission andor publishing to the web for video on demand, for all the 4 main newsrooms of TVR. Workflow is completed by SI Media studio playout (IT based based on Matrox boards), and the MOS integration with Ross for live studio graphics and Autoscript teleprompters.

The installation at the main site in Tashkent will be followed by a second project, which involves the 12 regional sites of TVR. In an interconnected environment, all of them will be communicating with the main site, while they will have independent MCR (file and base band ingest, scheduling, main and backup automation with embedded character generator, all based on AJA boards).
