Half of the year has already gone and time has flown in this 2019. Between exhibitions all around the world, new opportunities and projects starting, I never really had the chance to get bored in the past months!
First quarter started with the signature of 2 relevant contracts in Europe, a personal huge fulfillment in one of the toughest markets in the broadcast industry. With our partner BFE (Austria), we have been awarded to provide playout automation system to the national television of Montenegro, RTCG. 4 redundant channels with graphics, streaming for VOD, base band ingest, all based on NEVA, SI Media’s rebranded Harmonic SpectrumX controlled via API by our software. Furthermore, just few weeks after, we closed a deal with the biggest European Adventist Church, Stimme der Hoffnung. The core of this project is an enterprise Media Asset Management, but we are also providing traffic and automation system. Second quarter started with some good news from Africa as well. With our regional partner Onset Systems, we provided a MAM expansion to one of our biggest customers in the area, since 2013, K24 (MediaMax) and later in May, we signed an agreement to provide an end-to-end system to one of the major media groups in the continent, Daar TV Communication (Abuja-Nigeria).
At the same time, we attended several exhibitions worldwide. I’ve been to BVE (London) and Cabsat (Dubai), and we exhibited as well at NRB (National Religious Broadcasters in Aneheim, California), NAB in Vegas and recently at MediaTech (Johannesburg-South Africa), with our partner Aucom, where we gathered a tremendous interest on our end-to-end platform.
Next step is IBC, where we are looking forward to present our new multi-platform multi-database suite .YES!-Web. Stay tuned, and do not miss the chance to stop by our booth, 8.B93
